The Magenta Rose House
Vintage Mirror w/ Cherubs
Regular price
$45.00
Very beautiful mirror with raised cherub design and beautiful scrollwork all around the frame. It is capped off by a wonderfully detailed scallop shell design. It was part of a vanity mirror that swiveled on hinges. This piece is a replica made in Hong Kong. It’s made of MCM plastic in gold patina. Probably 1960’s- 70’s and is reminiscent of the Baroque feeling.
The original mirror was made in 1900’s out of brass and then replicated in other metals in the 1950’s. It was a very popular style.
The mirror is removable with clips holding it in place, so this frame could be used as a picture frame instead.
*markings on the mirror and a tiny chip on the base near the cherub
This piece is 12 1/2" tall x 9 1/2" wide
