Clear Depression Glass Waterford “Waffle” by Hocking Glass Co. 1938-1944

Waffle pattern is Hocking Glass Co.’s answer to a poor mans Waterford.

This lovely clear crystal platter (aka sandwich plate) has a simple cross hatch design
with sparkling prisms. A nice heavy piece, It has a nice “crystal feel”.

This is a versatile platter, it’s simple and elegant. Perfect for Sunday afternoon tea or a Wedding gift. If I were to have one platter for entertaining, this would be the style I would choose.
